The Whitehall-Coplay School Board meeting July 27 focused on more than a dozen parents, students and residents asking to change a new transportation plan that would require charter school students to use LANTA buses instead of regular school buses.
Families said the change would create problems because of early-morning departures, multiple bus transfers and long walks to bus stops. Several speakers questioned whether student safety was fully considered before the plan was made.
