“Taking on a challenge like making your prom dress is most certainly a scary task,” the 18-year-old from Bucks County, Pa., tells PEOPLE exclusively. “Although, in my eyes, the easiest way to grow as a person and test your limits is to put yourself in an uncomfortable situation.”
