A Kansas man, wanted for fleeing Osage County Sheriff’s deputies, was apprehended Tuesday morning, April 21, in Bristol Township, Pennsylvania by a federal fugitive task force. Thirty-four-year-old Alan McNeil of Scranton, was taken into custody for allegedly violating the Kansas Sex Offender Registration Act. Sheriff’s deputies attempted to interview McNeil regarding registration violations April 9th, but when he saw the deputies, McNeil fled in his vehicle crashing it after a chase, and escaping on foot despite an extensive manhunt in a rural area.
A warrant for McNeil’s arrest was issued on April 14th , after investigators determined he had fled Kansas. Authorities in Philadelphia received information placing McNeil in Bucks County, and on Tuesday, when task force officers knocked on the door of his home, McNeil attempted to flee again, but was arrested without further incident.
