A Lehigh County man was sentenced to serve up to two years in prison after posing as a physician and treating and prescribing medication to patients.
On Tuesday, 45-year-old Adam C. Herman of Slatington was sentenced by Carbon County Court of Common Pleas Judge Joseph J. Matika to nine to 24 months in state prison. Herman also received four years of probation and was ordered to pay more than $104,000 in restitution.
Herman pleaded no contest last year to 17 felony counts. Charges included Medicaid and insurance fraud, theft, identity theft, and 13 counts of neglect of a care-dependent person. He also pleaded no contest to one count misdemeanor falsely pretending to hold a medical license…
