Lawyer admits to misappropriating $295,000 from Carousel at Pottstown

NORRISTOWN — A Pottstown lawyer faces a decade of court supervision for misappropriating $295,000 from the Carousel at Pottstown, a nonprofit organization that oversees the operation of the historic carousel, and using the money to pay off a personal debt.

Adam Jacob Sager, 57, who has a law office along East High Street in Pottstown and who most recently listed an address in Sarasota, Fla., was sentenced in Montgomery County Court on Monday to 10 years of probation after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of theft by failure to make required disposition of funds received in connection with incidents that occurred between July and September 2019 while he was a member of the foundation’s board of directors.
