BARGAIN giant Dollar Tree is bracing for a fresh checkout charge as a new plastic bag ban kicks in this summer.
From July 23, shoppers will have to cough up extra at the till – or bring their own bags – as strict new rules come into force.
The move follows a decision by Jenkintown Borough Council, in Pennsylvania, to clamp down on single-use plastics across the area.
Under the new law, stores like Dollar Tree will be banned from handing out single-use plastic bags altogether…
