Lehigh Valley weather: Much-needed rain arrives Wednesday night into Thursday morning

The Lehigh Valley has a slight chance of showers Tuesday after 11 a.m. until late afternoon under mostly cloudy skies, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Tuesday’s high temperature is in the mid-60s with southerly winds 5 to 10 mph becoming calm in the evening, and the low is forecast in the upper 40s overnight into Wednesday.

A significant rain event will bring much-needed precipitation to the region Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, with total rainfall expected between half an inch and an inch.
