Hunterdon County to build permanent 9/11 memorial at Hilltop Preserve

A permanent 9/11 memorial will be established at Hilltop Preserve in Raritan Township, with plans to dedicate the site in September 2026 on the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.

Hunterdon County Sheriff Fred W. Brown announced the plans in a news release, saying the memorial will create a lasting place for reflection and remembrance.

“Hunterdon County will always remember where we were on September 11, 2001, and the profound impact that day had on our nation and our communities,” Brown said. “As we approach the 25th anniversary, it is important that we create a lasting place where residents can reflect, remember, and ensure that the stories of that day are never forgotten.”…
