A Car Blew Through a Guardrail and Flipped Into a Ravine, Landing Upside Down

A driver in Sandy Springs, Georgia, was pulled from an overturned car Tuesday afternoon after officials said the vehicle went through a guardrail and landed upside down in a ravine. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the crash happened on June 16, 2026. The Sandy Springs Fire Department said the driver had only minor injuries.

Fire crews were called to the single-vehicle wreck at about 2:45 p.m. At the scene, they found the car below the roadway at the bottom of a deep ravine. The Sandy Springs Fire Department said the vehicle had gone through a guardrail and ended up upside down on its roof.

That left firefighters with more to deal with than a car sitting on the shoulder. Crews had to get down to the vehicle before they could reach the driver. However, they were able to pull the driver from the overturned car, and officials said the driver had only minor injuries…
