Mexican drug supplier admits role in moving cocaine into Georgia

A Mexican man accused of helping move large amounts of cocaine from Mexico into metro Atlanta has pleaded guilty in federal court after authorities say the trafficking operation brought more than 170 pounds of the drug into Georgia.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, 52-year-old Orfael Macedo Bustos admitted to his role in a conspiracy that transported cocaine into metro Atlanta using tractor-trailers.
