Man gropes Lyft driver, threatens to kill police officer at Marietta Diner, warrants say

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A man was arrested last week after he allegedly groped a Lyft driver, threatened a responding police officer and then tried to bribe his way out of the situation at a popular Marietta diner, according to arrest warrants.

Latrell Wilbert faces charges of sexual battery, disorderly conduct, giving a false name or date of birth, terroristic threats and bribery.

On Aug. 1, a Lyft driver was taking Wilbert to Marietta Diner off Cobb Parkway when she said he touched her inappropriately and offered her money to go inside the diner with him. The woman dropped him off and called 911, according to the arrest warrants…
