City of Tucker races to fix sinkhole that could block access to homes

TUCKER, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A sinkhole on Windsong Way in Tucker’s Brentwood subdivision is expanding from near a neighborhood pond toward the road, and residents say the next major storm could cause the street to collapse entirely, blocking access to about six homes in the cul-de-sac.

A spokesperson for the City of Tucker told Atlanta News First that the item will be presented to the city council Monday night to find a way forward. A recent staff report said the problem needs to be fixed “with urgency,” and the city is in the process of taking bids on the project.
