SUWANEE, Ga. — One of North Atlanta’s more significant recent manufacturing investments is beginning to translate from an economic-development announcement into actual jobs.
French electrical-equipment manufacturer Socomec opened a new production facility at 2935 Shawnee Industrial Way in Suwanee this year, part of a nearly $10 million Gwinnett County investment that the company and state officials have said is expected to create about 300 jobs.
Current Suwanee openings include accounting, engineering, safety and supply-chain positions, with advertised salaries ranging from about $70,000 to as much as $165,000 a year.
