Traffic was heavily impacted on Sixes Road west of Interstate 575 Thursday afternoon after a house in the area caught fire.
According to Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services, firefighters responded to a fully involved house fire in Canton off of Sixes Road at about 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
First arriving units found a fully involved house fire behind a locked gate on a dirt road off of Sixes road. The initial call was for black smoke in the area.
