Cherokee County mulling potential e-bike ordinance

Cherokee County leaders are looking to add a section in the county’s code to regulate the use of e-bikes and similar devices in unincorporated parts of the county.

On Tuesday, the Cherokee County Board of Commissioners unanimously voted to schedule a public hearing at 6 p.m. Oct. 6 to consider creating a new section in the Cherokee County Code of Ordinances regulating the use of electric bikes, scooters and similar mobility devices in unincorporated Cherokee. The meeting will take place at the Cherokee County Conference Center, 1130 Bluffs Parkway in Canton.
