Developer proposing over 200 homes in Pearidge community

Canton leaders will decide in October whether to approve an application that would bring over 200 homes to the Pearidge community.

On Thursday, the Canton City Council held a public hearing to discuss a request from Lee Lusk of Pearidge Land Investments, LLC to annex and rezone about 62.17 acres from single-family residential (R-40, Cherokee County) to planned development-mixed use (city) to build a mixed-use development on five parcels at 680 and 700 Pearidge Road in the Canton area on a combined 68.5 acres. The applicant is also requesting master plan approval for the proposed mixed-use development.
