JOHNS CREEK, Ga. — A Newtown Park amphitheater will no longer carry the name of a former state representative who played a key role in the city’s founding.
At a July 13 meeting, city council members approved renaming the Mark Burkhalter Amphitheater. The venue, which has hosted events ranging from concerts to holiday celebrations, is now Founders Amphitheater.
