Chuan Tasty has opened on Windward Parkway in Alpharetta, serving Sichuan dishes alongside familiar Chinese takeout favorites.
The restaurant, which joined the area’s August openings, occupies Suite 440 at 5530 Windward Parkway. Its menu ranges from wontons in chili oil and cold noodle dishes to double-cooked pork, seafood and steamed buns.
Diners looking beyond the usual orange chicken and fried rice have several inexpensive starting points. Sichuan pork dumplings cost $10 for six, while wontons in chili oil and dan dan noodles are also $10. The noodles come with a choice of ground pork or beef, plus peanuts, scallions and chili.
Cold dishes get substantial attention, including beef shank and tripe in chili sauce, sliced pork belly with garlic sauce and cucumber salad. They offer another way to build a shared meal alongside hot dishes…
