A Suwanee manufacturer will represent Georgia on a national stage Friday, competing against four other small businesses for a top prize of $400,000.
Winton Machine, which designs and builds industrial automation equipment at its Suwanee facility, is one of five finalists in the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Freedom 250 Patriot Pitch Competition. The finale is scheduled for Sept. 18 in Washington, D.C., after a nationwide field that began with 1,182 businesses from all 50 states.
The five finalists will divide $1 million in prize money funded by Clover Network. First place carries $400,000, followed by awards of $250,000, $150,000, $125,000 and $75,000. That means Winton Machine is guaranteed a prize, with the size determined by Friday’s competition…
