ATLANTA (ANF/Gray News) — Two men convicted of stealing from Walmart stores in almost a dozen states have learned their sentences.
Anthony Belser, 56, was sentenced to 25 years, with the first 10 to be served in prison. And 52-year-old George Mayo was sentenced to 40 years, with the first 20 to be served in prison, according to Cherokee County’s Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit.
Authorities said Belser and Mayo stole $362,844 worth of merchandise from Walmart stores in 11 states: Georgia, Connecticut, Florida, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia…
