Cherokee County School District schools have received state recognition for cursive handwriting education.
In celebration of Constitution Week Sept. 17-23, the Georgia Department of Education recognized 630 schools with the John Hancock Award, including CCSD schools, the district announced.
Avery Elementary School and Hickory Flat Elementary School are among the 323 statewide to earn the award with a Ribbon of Distinction.
