Cherokee Career Expo Offers Early Entry for Job Seekers Who Prepare This Week

Canton and Woodstock residents looking for work closer to home can meet local employers at the Cherokee Career Expo on Oct. 14, with free preparation sessions this Wednesday offering an extra half-hour with recruiters.

The expo runs from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Northside Hospital Cherokee Conference Center, 1130 Bluffs Parkway in Canton. Participating businesses must have a Cherokee County location, giving the event a specific focus on local employment.

The lineup includes entry-level firefighting positions with Cherokee County Fire & Emergency Services; bus driving, clerical, school nutrition and substitute teaching roles with Cherokee County Schools; and municipal openings in Woodstock.
