Man sentenced to life in prison for killing ex-sister-in-law

A 64-year-old Stone Mountain man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the 2024 murder of his former sister-in-law and the injuring his former brother-in-law in a store in Lilburn.

Teodros Mulat Shibeshi pled guilty to malice murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony charges stemming from the deaths of Tigist Lulesegud, 57, and the shooting of her brother, 65-year-old Abebe D. Yeshetela, according to the Gwinnett County District Attorney’s Office. Shibeshi received a life sentence in prison plus 25 years that will have to be served without the possibility of parole.
