A popular pie shop that got its start in Cherokee County will soon be expanding into Atlanta.
Pie Bar Owner Dominie Garcia — who sells sweet and savory pies out of her stores in Woodstock and Marietta and her production facility in Kennesaw — plans to open in early May at her newest location inside midtown Atlanta’s Westside Market, which houses more than 1,000 retail vendors.
“We want to bring the quality, hand-crafted pies that make Pie Bar special to Atlanta,” Garcia said. “When Westside Market reached out and asked if we were interested, this opportunity presented itself. They asked if we were interested in renting it, and part of my goal in purchasing the business is to grow in an organic way.”…
