A major roadway improvement project aimed at easing congestion and supporting growth in Northeast Georgia is moving forward.
The Georgia Department of Transportation has awarded a $38.5 million contract for the widening and reconstruction of a portion of State Route 211 spanning Barrow, Gwinnett and Hall counties.
The project will cover approximately 1.6 miles, beginning at Pinot Noir Drive and extending to SR 347.
