What started as an ordinary Thursday in Cherokee County took a grim turn when deputies discovered a body inside a barn on a rural property in the Clayton community.
The remains were found on the 2800 block of Land Road on Thursday afternoon. Investigators at the scene said the body appeared to have been inside the structure for several days before anyone realized something was wrong. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, deputies were called out shortly after 4 p.m. following a report that a body had been discovered on the property. The station reported that the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office provided the initial details on the call.
