Lilburn Women’s Club awards $10,500 in scholarships to female students in Gwinnett Co.

The Lilburn Women’s Club presented $10,500 in scholarships to three graduating high school seniors as well as two students from Gwinnett County Technical Collage at the organization’s most recent meeting.

The high school graduate scholarships awarded $2,500 to three female students from from public, private, and home schools in Gwinnett County. According to the women’s club, the scholarship recognizes students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, active engagement in their school and community, and a strong commitment to pursuing higher education.

This year’s recipients for the high school scholarship were Hijab Gebreyohannes and Blen Hailegiorgis from Parkview High School, as well as Michelle Diep from Gwinnett School of Science, Math & Technology.
