Georgia educator builds leadership and healing space for Asian American youth

ATLANTA — During Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, a Georgia educator originally from South Korea is working to create spaces for healing, leadership, and empowerment among Asian American youth.

In Gwinnett County, Georgia, race, culture, and religion reporter Danielle Nottingham spoke with middle school teacher and founder Ahra Cho, who created the Asian Student Alliance to support Asian American students and strengthen community connection.
