LEVELLAND, Texas — For some rodeo athletes, the sport becomes part of life before they can even remember. That is exactly the case for South Plains College freshman Jaxon Stoker, whose passion for rodeo started at a young age growing up in Canyon, Texas.
“My dad, he’s always grown up around cattle and horses,” Stoker said. “I’d go break steers with them when I was six or seven years old.”
