55+ Club of Amarillo announces $350,000 grants for activities center project

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The 55+ Club of Amarillo, or the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association, received two grants toward it “Thrive after 55 on Route 66″ Capital Campaign.

High Plains Christian Ministries Foundation and Amarillo Area Foundation approved challenge grants of $100,000 and $250,000. The grants will go toward phase one of the campaign, aiming to raise $1.3 million.

The total amount raised has been pushed to $497,900. Now, the organization is seeking gifts totaled at $350,000 or more to match the grants…
