CANYON, Texas (KVII) — Seven of the eight suspects accused of breaking into a fraternity house, causing damage and stealing a flag received pretrial diversion.
Pretrial diversion is a voluntary program administered by prosecutors that allows first-time or low-risk offenders to avoid formal prosecution. If a suspect successfully completes certain requirements, the case is dismissed. The charge also may be expunged.
