WTAMU students charged in ‘midnight flag raid’ on rival fraternity building enter plea agreements

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – Seven of the eight WTAMU students charged in a midnight flag raid on a rival fraternity’s lodge have entered into plea agreements.

The following individuals have appeared in court and entered a pre-trial diversion program with Randall County:

  • Diego Federico Garza, 20
  • Dustin Lane Hoppe, 19
  • Nicholas Stone Carpenter, 19
  • Tristan George Hernandez, 18
  • Austin Daniel Vecino, 18
  • Kyle Joe Guerrero, 20
  • Jantz Ryker Botoz, 19

Jonathan Javier Huerta, 24, is the remaining defendant who has not had his case resolved as of the time of this publishing.

The eight students were charged with burglary of a building in connection with a February 14 incident where Randall County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from a property owner.

The property owner reported there were several unauthorized people in his building on Hix Drive…
