Tracking severe storms, warnings across the Panhandle

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — From Meteorologist Jim Danner, looking ahead, a weather pattern called a “Rex block” is expected to set up over the central plains this week, placing the Panhandles under cooler, drier conditions with temperatures near or slightly below average and a reduced chance of rain through the weekend.

Tonight, storm chances continue mainly before seven pm before skies become partly cloudy, with overnight lows dropping into the sixties.

Monday will bring mostly sunny skies with a slight chance of afternoon showers and storms between one and four pm. High temperatures will reach the nineties again, with light winds out of the east-southeast. Monday night looks mostly clear with lows settling into the sixties…
