LEXINGTON, Neb. (KNWA/KFTA) — The last workers at a now shuttered Tyson Foods plant in Nebraska have walked out for the final time.
The Tyson Foods beef processing plant in Lexington, Neb., shut its doors on January 20, leaving 3,200 people without work in a town of roughly 11,000 residents.
However, on that same day, nearly 300 workers were briefly retained to assist with closure-related tasks. Over the following months, those workers were permanently terminated on a staggered timeline.
