AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The second defendant in a 2023 murder pleaded guilty ahead of his scheduled trial date.
Juade Rique Gonzales, 21, appeared in 47th District Court on July 28 to plead guilty to the 2023 murder of Markell Toombs-Reed.
Judge Dee Johnson sentenced Gonzales to 25 years in prison as part of the plea agreement.
