AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) – Amarillo homeowners could see changes to their city property tax bills next year as the city council considers a proposed tax rate as part of the fiscal year 2026-27 budget process.
During a budget workshop Tuesday, city staff presented a proposed property tax rate of $0.44728 per $100 of taxable value. The city’s current rate is $0.43070, while the no-new-revenue rate is $0.42170.
