Can’t Miss with Chip Chandler, April 14

Lone Star Ballet brings back its popular TimeSteps dance revue after five years, with performances set for 7:30 p.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Saturday in the Globe-News Center for the Performing Arts, 500 S. Buchanan St.

The show allows company dancers to bring to life beloved rock songs of the past several decades, including tunes by The Beatles, Nancy Sinatra, Elton John, ABBA, Stevie Wonder, Madonna and more. And it has proven popular for years.

“It’s not a normal ballet. It’s not traditional. It’s not so classical that everyone feels like they can come in their jeans and their T-shirts,” said Roxann Seaton, the company’s newly appointed artistic director and longtime performer. “It’s a more relaxed show, and (the audience gets) to join in and clap and hoop and holler. So I think they just enjoy it.”…
