AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — Haven Aviation Services Group has opened its first fixed-based operator or FBO at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport after three years of planning and construction.
According to officials, the facility will provide full hangar space and services for private and business aircraft while supporting continued growth at the airport.
CEO Travis Lamance described an FBO as “basically a gas station for the airplanes,” but said the new facility offers more than just fuel. Haven Aviation Services Group also provides aircraft charter, maintenance, and brokerage services, and Lamance said the addition of the FBO allows the company to offer a full range of aviation services.
