United Supermarkets, Mrs Baird’s Bread honors three teachers as Teachers on the Rise for March

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — United Supermarkets and Mrs Baird’s Bread honored three Amarillo area teachers as Teachers on the Rise for March.

According to officials with United and Mrs Baird’s Bread, the winners from March included Katherine Stokes of Woodlands Elementary School (Amarillo Independent School District), Brandi Mahler of Fort Elliott Junior High (Fort Elliott Consolidated Independent School District), and Melissa Ramirez of Amarillo High School (Amarillo Independent School District).

“Our teachers go above and beyond every single day, and it feels great to shine a spotlight on their hard work,” said Abie Rampy, director of public relations for The United Family. “This program is one of our favorite ways to celebrate the heart of our communities, and we can’t wait to see the amazing educators who will be honored in the last few weeks of the school year.”

Officials noted that nominations have continued to come from students and families across the High Plains since the program’s launch, which highlights how teachers “go above and beyond the call of duty and deserve special recognition.”…
