Man sentenced to 4 years after fleeing police, nearly hitting officer while out on bond

AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — A man accused of nearly hitting an Amarillo police officer while fleeing during a theft investigation has been sentenced to four years in prison after a trial in the 181st District Court.

In November 2024, Amarillo Police Department officers investigating a theft case located a suspect vehicle and approached it on foot.
