Student arrested for alleged verbal threats at Tascosa High School

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Independent School District reported that a student was arrested after they had allegedly made verbal threats that prompted the lockdown of Tascosa High School.

AISD reported that Tascosa High School was placed into immediate lockdown on Tuesday afternoon after information was received concerning two possible threats to the school.

Officials said the Amarillo Police Department, AISD Police, and the Department of Public Safety assisted and determined the threats were not credible.
