BNSF Plainview Subdivision out of service after bridge loss; trains rerouted

RANDALL COUNTY, Texas (KVII) — Flames from a fast-moving wildfire tore through a railroad trestle bridge outside the Canyon city limits, causing part of the bridge to collapse and prompting evacuations for nearby residents.

The wildfire broke out Thursday evening as strong winds and dry conditions helped flames spread quickly across parts of Randall County near Canyon. A nearby resident, Katherine Gonzales, said people were told to evacuate as the fire moved closer to their home.
