Newport Beach CEO with $35M mansion accused of aiding Iran’s military and nuclear program

ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. (FOX26) — Acting Attorney General of the United States Todd Blanche announced the arrest of a dual U.S.-Iranian citizen and CEO of a Tehran-based tech company on federal charges.

63-year-old Jamshid Ghomi of Newport Coast is accused of violating U.S. sanctions by supplying advanced American networking, security, and encryption equipment to customers in Iran — including organizations tied to Iran’s nuclear and military programs.
