Ex-state parks superintendent accused of secretly recording naked lifeguards

A former state parks superintendent accused of secretly recording nearly two dozen naked lifeguards in a beach locker room and sharing some of the images with friends faces felony and misdemeanor charges in Orange County.

Kevin Pearsall, 59, of Long Beach, was charged with five felony counts of eavesdropping, 23 misdemeanor counts of secretly filming another and three misdemeanor counts of unlawful dissemination of private recordings, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Pearsall, the subject of a $500,000 arrest warrant, turned himself in Tuesday and was released on his own recognizance with arraignment scheduled for Aug. 6 in Westminster.

It was not immediately clear whether Pearsall has an attorney who could speak on his behalf…
