Man sentenced to life for killing elderly man at busy Orange County intersection

A homeless man was sentenced to life in prison for killing an elderly man at a busy intersection during a violent confrontation in Orange County.

Mario Anthony De La Torre, 39, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of Juan Murillo, who family members said was 89 when he was killed, the Orange County Register reported.
