Police in Irvine are searching for a man accused of a violent attack on a golf course last week.
The incident occurred on the evening of Aug. 29 when a golfer at San Joaquin Golf Course confronted a man who had reportedly run across the course, according to investigators with the Irvine Police Department.
Moments after the confrontation, the suspect began chasing the golfer.
“The golfer tried to get away in his golf cart, but the suspect caught up, took a golf club from the cart, and struck the golfer in the head,” investigators said. “The suspect then fled the area.”
