Update on the Storm for Tuesday and Wednesday

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A strong Pineapple Express/atmospheric river will finally sweep across Southern California Tuesday morning into the evening and will last through Wednesday afternoon. Various areas of the forecast area will see different weather impacts with gusty winds, chances of heavy rain showers at times, and heavy snow showers at times.

Fog and rain showers expected for Tuesday morning will be heavier rain showers into the late afternoon. Pop-up rain showers for Wednesday morning/afternoon with a thunderstorm chance as well. The rain showers can be heavy at times with a pop-up thunderstorms.

There is no chance of snow at the top of the Cajon Pass with this storm.

The Cajon Pass could get about a 2 to 3+ of a inches of rain total. The IE could get about a 1 to 2+ inches of rain total. The desert cities could get about less than ½ of inch 1+ inch of rain total. Wrightwood area could get 3 of 5+ inches of rain and about a ½ of inch to 1+ inches of snow total.

The snow-level looks to be around 7,500 feet for the most part, snow-flakes possible down to 6,500 feet but non-sticking, no advisories are in effect for snow.
