Billie Lourd Channels Late Mom Carrie Fisher With Daughter Jackson In Honor Of Star Wars Day

It has been seven years since Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher died. However, her daughter and granddaughter still carry on her legacy as the galaxy’s Princess Leia. Billie Lourd and her one-year-old, Jackson, spent Saturday at Savi’s Workshop in Disneyland Resort, Anaheim, California, to celebrate “Star Wars Day.”

Billie shared photos from the annual fan holiday moment to Instagram, featuring herself and Jackson with a lightsaber as they paid tribute to the space-based classic. Star Wars fans took to the comments to gush about the adorable snap, while the official Star Wars page also acknowledged the shot. “Royalty forever,” they stated.

Billie Lourd’s favorite ‘Star Wars’ film

Ahead of the fan holiday, Billie divulged to PEOPLE what installment of the Star Wars franchise was her favorite, which is something she shares in common with her late mom and co-star. The 31-year-old film star, who starred alongside Carrie as Lieutenant Connix, voted for 1980’s Empire Strikes Back.

Carrie seemed to have other competing favorites like A New Hope and Return of the Jedi. However, she thought it best to take Carrie’s side. Carrie’s fans also expressed their gratitude to Billie for raising Jackie to acknowledge the classic and her grandmother’s legacy. “You’ll probably never see this but your mom was one of my greatest inspirations,” someone stated. “May the 4th be with you, and her memory live on forever.”
