Puppy abandoned in SoCal ‘coyote country’ may soon be looking for forever home

Authorities in Orange County are looking for a man who was caught on camera tossing a puppy through the gate of Mission Viejo Animal Services on Friday, abandoning the tiny, vulnerable dog.

“She’s approximately eight weeks, we’re guessing. She’s about three pounds and, we’re guessing, she’s a chihuahua mix, possibly a chihuahua min pin mix,” Senior Animal Control Officer Sgt. J.R. Stewart said.
