GARDEN GROVE – A motorist and his passenger were killed when a Chevy Silverado veered off the road and slammed into a tree Saturday in Garden Grove, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday to a report of a traffic crash in the 12900 block of Brookhurst Street, just north of Garden Grove Boulevard, according to Sgt. Willie Holloway of the Garden Grove Police Department. They located the silver 2009 Silverado, which had crashed into the tree for unknown reasons.
The 22-year-old driver was trapped inside the Chevy, and his 18-year- old male passenger had been ejected from the large pickup truck. The victims, both Westminster residents, were pronounced dead at the scene, Holloway said…
